The Beauty of the Body
What a wonderful Sunday worshiping together and lifting our voices in praise of the greatness of our God! Pastor Joel continued our C4 series with a message titled “The Beauty of the Body” from 1 Corinthians 12:12–31. We were reminded that every member of the body of Christ has a unique purpose and that the church is most beautiful when we serve together in unity, humility, and love. Catch up or watch again as we continue learning what it means to be the body of Christ!
Gifted for Growth | "How Great Is Our God"
What a Sunday at OBC!
From the preaching of God’s Word to powerful moments of worship, Sunday was a beautiful reminder of the greatness of our God and the work He continues to do in His church.
During our First Service, Pastor Joel continued our study through 1 Corinthians with “Gifted for Growth” from 1 Corinthians 12:1–11, reminding us that God has uniquely gifted His people for His purpose and for the growth of His church.
Then, in our Second Service, the Holy Spirit met with us in a special way. As we sang and proclaimed the greatness of our God, there were intense moments of worship and response—lives were changed, souls were encouraged, and hearts were refreshed in His presence.
We are grateful for what God did throughout the morning and for the reminder that He is still working, still changing lives, and still worthy of all our praise.
If you missed Sunday or simply want to experience it again, we invite you to watch both services and see what God is doing at OBC.
Proper Principles for...The Lord's Supper
This past Sunday at Oxford Baptist Church, Pastor Joel continued our “C4: Compassionate Correction for a Carnal Church” series in 1 Corinthians 11:17–34, focusing on the Lord’s Supper and its importance in the life of the church.
Together, we observed the Lord’s Supper and remembered Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for us. Our time of worship centered on songs celebrating the friendship we have with God and the incredible love Jesus demonstrated through His sacrifice.
It was a meaningful morning of worship, remembrance, and reflection as we gathered around God’s Word and the Lord’s Table together. Watch our service here!
Trusting God & Lifting Our Praise
What a meaningful Lord’s Day at OBC! In our morning service, we sang about trusting God before Pastor Joel continued the “C4” series with “Proper Principles for Pleasing Public Worship – Part One.” From 1 Corinthians 11, we were reminded that worship pleasing to God is rooted in biblical obedience, order, and a heart surrendered to Him.
Sunday evening was an amazing night of worship centered entirely on PRAISE! Through Psalm 150, Pastor Joel reminded us that praising God is both a great privilege and an even greater responsibility. Together, we lifted our voices and celebrated who God is, what He has done, and why He alone is worthy of all our praise!
Triumphing Over Temptation (Pt. 2)
Our worship centered on the promises of God before Pastor Joel continued Part 2 of “Triumphing Over Temptation” from 1 Corinthians 10. We were reminded that God is faithful in every temptation—calling us to stay focused, stand firm, flee from sin, and live for His glory. Watch this encouraging message and discover how God’s promises give us strength to overcome.
