Throughout the years...
Oxford Baptist Church was organized on May 30, 1952, originally named Hedrick Memorial Baptist Church. The name was changed to Oxford Community Baptist Church in 1954. Construction began in 1972 on a new building that included a sanctuary, Sunday school rooms, a nursery, and a fellowship hall; this building presently serves as the Educational Building.
To accommodate the growing congregation, construction began on a new building in 2004, which initially served as a gymnasium; worship services were moved there in 2012. Renovations to the Educational Building and Ministry Center in 2014-2015 brought the facilities to their present state.
Our Beliefs
We are an evangelical Baptist congregation committed to the truth of God's Word and the life-changing message of the Gospel. We subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, including believer's baptism, the autonomy of the local church, and the biblical principles that shape our faith and daily living.
Growing In Christ
Everything we do is centered on the Gospel and the truth of God's Word. Through biblical teaching, authentic worship, and intentional discipleship, we seek to help people of every age grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Growing Together
We are a church family committed to building meaningful relationships across generations. Through hospitality, genuine care, and a strong sense of community, we strive to create a welcoming place where everyone can belong, serve, and grow together.
